In 2006, Robin saw an ad for this colorful miniature yearling from Pick Pocket Farms and she just had to buy him.  We call him Goober because he's so easy going, sweet, and level headed.  He is a dark bay blanket appaloosa with exceptional color and movement.
 
 
His accomplishments include:
 
2006
At his first show, in South Carolina, he won three firsts in Amateur Halter, two seconds and a fourth in Open Yearling Halter. He also won the Multi-Color Stallion/Gelding class placing first under all three judges.
 
At the Area III Region show in Perry, Georgia, he placed second in the Multi-Color class and also placed in Amateur and Open Yearling Stallion classes.
 
At Nationals, Goober placed third in Multi-Color Stallions, and was such a good sport at being dressed up, he placed fifth in Adult Costume Class.
 
 
2007
The 2007 show season started at the March Winds show in Marianna, FL.
 
In June, Goober and Robin won the All Around Amateur Award at the Area III Region Show in Perry, Georgia.
 
At Nationals, as a two-year old, Goober became the 2007 AMHR National Champion Multi-Colored Stallion, over.  He placed 8th in Open Two-Year-Old Stallions, 35"-37", and was Reserve National Champion in Adult Costume Class. 
 
 
 
2008
Goober started 2008 by participating in a driven dressage show, placing first and second in his very first driving classes.
 
At the Area III Warm Up Show in April, he placed first in Amateur Halter Stallion, Reserve Champion in Senior Stallions, and first in Multi-Color Stallions.  He won the Amateur and Open Western Country Pleasure Driving classes, and placed second in the Stakes class. 
 
At the June Area III National Show in Perry, he placed second in Aged Stallions, was Reserve Champion Senior Stallion, and was Reserve Champion in Multi-Color Stallions & Geldings.  He placed first in all of his driving classes including Open Obstacle, Amateur Obstacle, Golden Age Country Pleasure Driving, Western Country Pleasure Driving and won the Western Country Pleasure Driving Stakes class.   
 
At Nationals, he was 2008 Reserve Champion Multi-Color Stallion, over; placed in the Top Ten for 3-Year Old Stallions, 3rd in Amateur Western Country Pleasure Driving (out of 23), 5th in Ladies Western Country Pleasure Driving (out of 27), 9th in Open Western Country Pleasure Driving (out of 18), placed in the top ten for Open Obstacle Driving, and was Reserve Champion in Adult Costume.

In 2008 he also qualified in first place to show at the Georgia Federation of Saddle Clubs State Championship Show in Halter Stallions, by placing above both large and small halter horses.
 
He was presented with a certificate recognizing him as the AMHR Division B All-Star CHAMPION Amateur Obstacle Driving horse for the 2008 show season!  Click on the Obstacle Driving Award button above to view his certificate.

 
2009
He's done it again this year at Nationals.  He's the 2009 AMHR National Champion Multi-Colored Stallion, over, for the second time.
He also placed 10th place in Halter Obstacle, over, 5th place in Obstacle Driving, over, and 5th place in Golden Age Western Country Pleasure Driving, over.
